Bar & Bistro

The Riser Den Bar & Bistro exists to nourish the atmosphere surrounding live music, congregation and reflection.
Through heritage-inspired food, botanical alcohol-free drinks, specialty coffee and carefully sourced ingredients, we cater for a grounded, vibrant and restorative gathering.
The Riser Bar

Botanical mixology sits at the heart of our bar, with every drink crafted to draw the fullest expression from each ingredient - from raw cane syrups to real botanical extractions, each element is considered.
Our functional spirits bring depth and atmosphere to our mood-aware mocktails. Our drinks are created with nootropic spirit alternatives designed to energise, soften, regulate and restore.
Alongside the warmth of the Bistro, our bar extends the atmosphere of the Den through long conversations, firelight, live music and DJs.

Our Meats
At The Riser Den, we serve exclusively Pasture for Life certified meat - the UK’s leading standard for 100% grass-fed and pasture-raised farming. Animals are raised outdoors on pasture for their entire lives, without grain feeding or intensive indoor systems.
We choose this approach because we believe the quality of what people consume shapes the atmosphere of the space itself. Alongside exceptional flavour, Pasture for Life farming supports natural animal welfare, biodiversity and soil health, reflecting our wider commitment to considered nourishment and welfare hospitality.
Our Grains

Ancient and heritage grains are part of our commitment to traditional nourishment and honest food culture. Our menus feature heritage British grains such as spelt, rye, buckwheat and barley as well as those from over seas including emmer, quinoa, farro and einkorn. These grain combinations make up our renowned Ezekiel grain breads, stews, porridges and cakes, inspired by ancient scripture.
We choose these grains for their depth of flavour, texture and connection to heritage, agriculture and shared meals - celebrating time-honoured preparation; offering a grounded alternative to highly processed modern foods.
Our Oils
We are proudly 100% seed oil free and certified by Unseeded, reflecting our commitment to ingredient transparency and less processed food culture.
Rather than industrial vegetable oils, we use cold-pressed olive and avocado oils throughout our dressings, dips and sauces, while all fried foods are cooked in beef tallow or avocado oil.
For us, this is about more than trend-led wellness. It’s a return to more traditional approaches of nourishment inspired by nature's abundance.
Our Dairies

For our coffees, hot chocolates, chais and house-made labneh dips we choose goats milk. Valued for both its nutritional qualities and digestibility, goats milk has long been used across our food cultures for its naturally rich and distinctive character.
Goats milk is naturally an A2 milk, meaning it contains the A2 beta-casein protein rather than the A1 protein commonly found in most modern cow milk. Many people find A2 milk gentler and easier to digest, making it a strong alternative featured across our menus.
Alongside goats milk, we also offer gold top cows milk for our teas and coffees, providing the choice between two rich and carefully sourced options.
Our Water
Filtered ionised hydrogen water is used throughout our cooking, botanical extractions, teas, coffees and drinks offerings. Chosen for its clean taste and restorative qualities, hydrogen-rich water is often associated with improved hydration, mineral absorption and overall vitality.
For us, this reflects a wider approach to hospitality where every element of the experience is considered with care. From the ingredients we source to the water running through the space itself, our aim is to create food and drink that ensures guests feel nourished, present and restored.
